Claire Bettio is an articling student of the firm. She practises in the areas of intellectual property and information technology law.
During her legal studies, Claire focused on honing her skills in legal research. In both her first and second years of law school, Claire volunteered with the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights, researching pressing constitutional issues in Canada. Throughout Summer 2022 and her second year of law school, Claire gained additional legal research experience while assisting an Ontario Crown Attorney with updating his book, Sentencing Drug Offenders. In Summer 2022, Claire also worked as a legal intern at The Globe and Mail, gaining experience in privacy related legal issues.
While in law school, Claire especially enjoyed taking courses related to technology and IP, including Introduction to Cybersecurity Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Patent and Trade Secrets Law. In her final year of law school, Claire spent a semester in the LLM program at Trinity College, Dublin, studying International Law.
Prior to law school, Claire completed her Bachelor of Science at McGill University, jointly majoring in physics and atmospheric science.
